World’s Strongest Disabled Man – Sportshour, BBC World Service

In the summer of 2017 I was asked by the BBC to meet some of the strongest disabled men in the world. This was a group of extremely inspiring athletes, including Mark Smith, shot seven times in a live ammunition army training accident.

 

In 2012 London staged the most successful Paralympic Games in history. It proved to be a spring board for disability sport and on Sunday the Olympic Park in East London will play host to another event showcasing the talents and in this case raw power of disability athletes…

 

The World’s Strongest Disabled Man competition is taking place and Sportshour’s Simon Parker has been to meet some of those hoping to muscle their way to victory…
