Skylodge Adventure Suites, Peru – The Daily Telegraph

Clinging to the side of the Andes Mountains in Peru’s Sacred Valley, this is one of the most unique ‘hotels’ on the planet. I’ve spent many years reporting from Peru and I’m proud to call it my second home.

This is an innovative, daring and exciting concept – and while it’s easy to feel a little queazy from the vertigo, the pods are robust and well designed – fixed to the rock face with 20 sturdy anchor points, each capable of holding one-and-a-half tonnes. Climbing in and out of the pods, dressed in a hard hat, gloves and a harness is as close to a spacewalk as most of us will ever come.
